L’Istituto di Scienze Marine del Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche svolge attività di ricerca fondamentale e applicata in oceanografia fisica, chimica e biologica e in geologia marina.

L’obiettivo è contribuire allo studio dei processi oceanici e della variabilità climatica, allo sviluppo di sistemi/servizi per l’osservazione, la protezione e la gestione sostenibile dell’ambiente marino e delle coste.

Workshop “Planning the Marine Space for a Sustainable Blue Economy in the Mediterranean” – Rimini (IT) – 8 november

You are invited to join us on November 8, from 9.15 to 13.00 CET, at Ecomondo 2023 (https://en.ecomondo.com/) – Rimini (IT), to participate in the Workshop “Planning the Marine Space for a Sustainable Blue Economy in the Mediterranean”.

The Workshop is co-organised by Ecomondo Scientific Technical Committee, European Commission – DG MARE, CNR-IUAV-CORILA.

In both cases, you have first to register at the Ecomondo Visitors Area https://en.ecomondo.com/visit/take-part/reserved-area.

The credentials to access the Digital Platform are the same used to register at the Ecomondo Visitors Area.
You will find the agenda of the events’ programme of Ecomondo in the “Program” button of the home page and you will only have to click on the title of the event in order to watch the live streaming.

If you will attend in person, you will need to follow these simple steps, in order to obtain a free entrance pass valid over the 4-days event:

1. Register and access the Ecomondo Visitors Area
2. Enter the invitation code F4REL in the “INVITE Code Validation” field provided;
3. Print out the entrance ticket that will allow free access to the turnstiles for all four days of the fair.

NB: In case there are other invitations in your Reserved Area, the ticket-speaker is the last one that will be generated (at the bottom of the list).

Our journal editors in chief selected some of the most important journal articles for a special collection, Global Climate Crisis:
From Research to Solutions

Meanwhile, we were invited to contribute four books to a special COP26 Virtual Book Showcase https://institutions.exacteditions.com/cop26.

Your book, “Coastal Ecosystems in Transition: A Comparative Analysis of the Northern Adriatic and Chesapeake Bay”, was one of those selected for this special books collection. Books in the collection are free to read online from today (/28 October) until 22 November.
