Winter School in Interdisciplinary Biodiversity

The Winter School in Interdisciplinary Biodiversity, offered entirely in English, aims to provide definitions and tools for understanding and managing the different components of biodiversity as observed by biologists, climatologists, economists, sociologists, and other professionals.

The program takes place in the stunning setting of the Venetian lagoon, cradle of extraordinary biodiversity. Participants will also be able to see the MOSE system up close and understand its social, environmental, and technical implications.

This Winter School is organized by Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, in collaboration with CNR ISMAR (Institute of Marine Sciences), and funded by the National Biodiversity Future Center.

There is no cost of participation. Selected students will pay only a registration fee of €50.

Registration open until November 7, 2024.
