A study by INGV and CNR-ISMAR has identified previously unknown underwater geological structures west of the island of Ischia. Salvatore Passaro, Cnr-Ismar, interviewed.
“An ancient volcanic structure and a large submerged landslide have been identified in Campania. They are located just west and south of Ischia, respectively, and researchers from the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) and the National Research Council’s Institute of Marine Sciences (CNR-Ismar) detected them.
