Venice, 5 – 19 July 2026
The IOCCG Summer School “Frontiers in Ocean Optics and Ocean Color Science” is an advanced training course dedicated to the fundamentals of ocean optics, bio-optics, and ocean color remote sensing. Lectures will be given by renowned researchers, and participants will have ample opportunity to interact with instructors through in-depth discussions. The course is aimed at doctoral students, post-doctoral researchers, and early-career professionals already active in ocean color research.
Now in its 7th edition, the IOCCG Summer Lecture Series will be held in Venice, Italy, from July 5 to 19, 2026.
The summer school is open to students from all countries, with no geographical restrictions; however, a good knowledge of English is required.
There is no registration fee for selected participants. Participants may be required to cover part of their travel expenses; however, a limited number of scholarships will be available to support travel costs.
The deadline for applications is February 15, 2026.
