R/V G. Dallaporta

The 35-meter-long R/V  G. Dallaporta carries out advanced studies in scientific fisheries, marine biology and the marine environment in general. The vessel reaches 14 knots of maximum speed and can accommodate up to 8 crew members and 12 researchers.

The vessel is equipped with the latest scientific and bridge equipment for the study of marine fisheries and marine environmental conditions: echosounders of various frequencies, ecointegrator, torque meter, underwater camera, CTD probe equipped with numerous sensors for measuring various environmental parameters, Rosette Multisampler for taking seawater samples at various depths, current meters, fishing winches and other equipment.

Biological and seawater samples taken during oceanographic and fishing campaigns can be analyzed immediately in on-board laboratories.
