CNR-ISMAR and the Biodiversity Gateway of the National Biodiversity Future Center (NBFC) are offering schools “Biodiversity in the Venice Lagoon,” an educational program dedicated to learning about biodiversity and lagoon ecosystems.
The initiative, funded by CNR-ISMAR, is carried out in collaboration with the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia – Giancarlo Ligabue Museum of Natural History and the Società Cooperativa Sestante di Venezia.
The program introduces students to the biodiversity of the Venice Lagoon and is aimed at elementary schools, middle schools, and the first two years of high school.
Activities
Classroom session on biodiversity and the lagoon environment
Educational workshop at the museum
Field trip to the lagoon aboard an eco-friendly boat, featuring observations, surveys, and sample collection, which are then analyzed at the Biodiversity Gateway
